5-magnitude earthquake has struck off California's northern coast, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Location Uncertainty Horizontal: 0.7 km; Vertical 1.1 km

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries but KCRA-TV, Sacramento, said it had received reports of damage and power outages.

The quake was centered in the ocean about 22 miles from the coastal town of Ferndale, located between San Francisco Bay and the Oregon state line.

There was no tsunami warning issued.

There were no immediate reports of injuries, according to the U.S. Coast Guard in Humboldt County.
